After a minutes silence for remembrance the game started, it was great to see good movement off the ball with multiple chances being made within the first half finishing. At the half time break there was nothing to decide between the teams at 1-1, Paul Jones picking up his 2nd goal of the season, to make the scores level.

After a motivational half time talk the team started the 2nd half with rejuvenated vigour and it was felt that the Bridgwater side were tiring slightly more than Minehead. After some continuous pressure from the restart Minehead won a penalty corner, which the ever clinical Ryan Dean managed to convert.

John Clegg took his captains lead and followed this up with a smart finish in open play, but this wasn’t the end for Minehead and Paul Jones appeared on the scoresheet once more with a fantastic finish.

During this run for Minehead, Bridgwater were able to claw one back before Paul Jones scored his second of the match. With the score sat at 4-2 Minehead were feeling confident this could be there first win of the year but it wasn’t to be as Bridgwater managed to summon enough energy to put two past the Minehead defence, to leave the honours shared at 4-4.

The team has been boosted thanks to our new found players in Will Giles, Chris Briggs and Adrian Bagg, and we are confident that the season will improve from here.
