Match Report | Minehead B: 2 Sidmouth and Ottery C: 1 With minehead looking to get their first win this season the match started in the best way possible with a quick goal from Darren Meacham putting us 1-0 up. Sidmouth and Ottery put the pressure straight back on Minehead, with a goal of their own but we held strong and with some great team work Darren soon had his second of the game with the score at 2-1 the half time whistle was sounded. The second half was action packed with Charlie Tudball in his first appearance in many years somehow dislocating his shoulder while nearly scoring in the process (shoulder has been put back in but it might be sore for a while). Ryan jones then made several great saves and neither team added to the score card although a Sidmouth and Ottery penalty corner with 4mins remaining wasn't ideal, we dealt with it and the final whistle blew giving us that much deserved first win and moved us two places up the table. Ryan jones picking up yet another man of the match, with Darren our only goal scorer today with 2 goals and great effort from Chris Briggs, Will lock, Andrew Speed and Watson Byas Man of the Match: Ryan Jones Match Ball Sponsor: Surefyre Minehead: Ryan Dean, Ben Moody, Paul Jones, Ryan Jones, Jack Bishop, Will Lock, Darren Meacham, Chris Briggs, Will Giles, Andrew Speed, Ellis Taylor, Charlie Tudball, Watson Byas |
